Q. What was the hardest part of managing stores across six countries simultaneously?

With such different environments and physical conditions from country to country, delivering training at consistent quality was nearly impossible. We had even used open platforms like YouTube and sacrificed security — but the lack of learning history was a critical weakness. After adopting TouchClass, we can deliver the same high-quality menu guides and operational information securely, to any of our six countries.

Q. Security must be especially important when running global training.

Menu recipes and store operation know-how are core corporate assets. TouchClass is a closed platform that only our people can access, so we can distribute critical materials without any security concern. In the admin panel we can clearly see who studied what and when — making global operations both more transparent and more trusted.

Q. What's the feedback like from the field?

In the past we'd send training materials by email and announcements by messenger separately. Now we just tell local managers to download one app — that's it. When content changes, we send a push, and one click takes them straight to the updated materials. We also register work reference materials in the app so they're always on hand, which local managers love.

Q. How much did you save by moving global in-person training online?

When you add up sending instructors to each overseas site, gathering local staff, venue rental, and printing, operating efficiency has jumped enormously. We can run training across six countries simultaneously with no physical travel — and the time and cost we save is reinvested into raising content quality.

Q. How have push notifications helped with urgent store operations?

Global stores face real-time local issues constantly. When menu guidelines or operational schedules change urgently, a push notification reaches the field instantly, minimizing on-site errors. It's far faster than email, so our six-country field operation stays in sync with HQ in real time.

Q. What's Lotte GRS's global talent development plan going forward?

TouchClass gave us the foundation to work as one team across stores worldwide. We plan to expand multi-language support and locally optimized content further, and we'll keep leveraging TouchClass as the core platform that strengthens Lotte GRS's global competitiveness.
